Song in my head: Feels like rain by John Hiatt
Yes. FINALLY. I've finished the editing part and I'm glad the layout looked different from the previous. LoL. Not as nice yet, but keep trying. =D
Holiday, hmm... How did I spent this holiday? I went back to my hometown for a week. Rotted for good. Did nothing much, and it felt wonderful, sometimes. LoL. After I grounded myself for a week at home, I came back to KL and took a night bus to Hat Yai with David on the very same day. Here's what happen during our adventurous trip. If you planning for any trip, this might help you. =)
Day 1We reached there a around 9am plus. And oh, with just RM40, you can get a one way trip to Hat Yai. Then, we booked the Regency Hotel upon arriving. Regency Hotel old wing cost around 680 baht only, which is quite affordable. The room is fairly nice and the corridor is quite peaceful. Guarantees no noise will wake you up in the middle of night and no some other tourist who do not sleep at night.*wink* So, we checked into the hotel room right after we arrive due to the lack of sleep. We took a long nap and wake up at around 1pm plus for lunch. And guess what we had for lunch on our day 1?
Yes. We dined at Pizza Hut in Hat Yai for our first meal. And, oh ya! If you're ever in Thailand, one of the restaurant not to miss out is indeed Pizza Hut. Their pizzas are not similar like those in Malaysia. And, their food are much more tastier (
no offense!)Don't trust me? Go try it out!
See the Pizza? Imagine... Yum Yum...
I love this pic =)
This was what we had! Oh ya, do not miss out the cheese sticks too. It's absolutely....not to miss out. =P
After our lunch, We hang around the Lee Garden Plaza. Here's one random shot .lol.
Here's one shot of the night street. This is one of the street which has lots of food stalls after 10pm. Remember, if you want nice food, skip dinner and go for supper instead. hehe..
In Thailand (
or maybe Hat Yai only), their shark fin or bird nest are quite cheap compared to the normal price. A small claypot of shark fin cost around 400 baht while the big claypot cost around 500 baht. Oh, not to mention, they provide free Ginseng Tea which taste good.
Hat Yai is also famous for their market. But, the price is not as low as we thought.
7-11 @ Hat Yai
LoL. Pink Lady is the place to be. With extra services provided. No, I didn't enter.
We then found this market place at the lower ground floor of Central Plaza. This market has quite a few Malaysia stuff. need anything, go there.
Lol, I saw this advertisement and I was amazed. So much of using sex appeal.
Chocolate !
Later that night, we bought the famous manggo rice . Delicious. Their manggo is reaaallly amazing! Very sweet !
David and I decided to try out the ancient massage. We got freaked out at first when they asked us to change into their clothes. But luckily, our request to remain in the same clothing was approved, lol. But
WARNING : if you young and did not try our this type of massage before, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not go for it! Both me and David felt like old bones after the massage. They can cracked our bones and apparently to loosen the bones. But no! My whole body still hurts until now...
Day 2Woke up with a refreshing glass of tangerine juice~!
We decided to walk around the area and I found the market! Quite dirty but their are quite a lot of fresh flowers and fruits.
Around lunch time, we came back to the hotel to rest.
We went in the 7-11 and found this fascinating. Look at this ! Do they even have this here in Malaysia ? No!
I found this milk drinks too =) Meiji drinks! Aren't they from Japan? LoL. Totally love the packaging .
At 4pm, we booked a taxi to take us to Songkla for Seafood . This is the Carrefour we found on our way. Quite big.
LoL. It raining quite heavily and I took this picture randomly. It's quite amazing for the biker to control her bike and grab hold of the little part of umbrella. LoL.
Here's the restaurant. I'm sorry but I can't recall the restaurant's name. =='
But, look at the scenery! It's so beautiful ! It would have been better if there were no rain and we could eat at the open area with the sea view.
Here's what we had for our dinner. So much food and the price is not that high.!
Thai seaffod rockz!
Day 3We planned to leave on the 3rd day but we decided to stay for one more day.
On the 3rd day, we decided to change our hotel instead of adding one more day. So, we checked into Lee Garden across the street just to have the taste of staying a slightly higher class hotel. Lol.
Early brunch, we went to KFC to take away some snacks.
Lol. My cool collection. He don't look quite please though.
This is view I took from Lee Garden Hotel. Splendid isn't it?
Owh, one of favourite picture. Love the way the lights shine through.
After lunch, we took a tut- tut (
is it how u spell it?lol) to one of the large market.
Here's some of the picture on our way :-
A cold coconut drink on a hot sunny day is the best!
At night, we went to the Market Place again to get some beer . haha and I found this cute can.
I was looking for the duck noodle the whole night. LoL... I finally found it at some old street but it turned out to be not as good as I thought. But it looks nice though...lol..
After some night walks, we headed back to the hotel and we had beer, chips and TV. LoL....and
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE SMIRNOFF with lemon. It tastes so good with chips ! Anyone saw this in Malaysia before? Please do let me know because I still can't find it in Malaysia.
Argh.
Day 4Morning.
We wake up early specially for this free buffet. LoL
The food was okay.
Then, we got up the Konsortium bus. The owner was very gentlemen. He gave us all this goodie bag as if he was like some santa clause.
Oh ya, wondering how to get back from Hat Yai to KL? Get the konsortium bus ticket for only 380 baht per person, which is 20 baht cheaper than normal price. Plus, they gave us free goodie bag =) Enjoy.
If you enjoy what you've seen from my picture, you can start planning ypur next holiday trip already. Have fun~!
